InteractiveATM
This is a tool, what I use to trade FDAX discretionary. Here more or less as an example as this can be used as a template to add more functionality based to your own ideas. Anyway this has one VERY specific idea: "smoothed trailing stop", which help not to fill unneeded stops after a big order so this make more money than standard ATM. See the last picture. So you can use this as a replacement to chart trader or replace some of your ATMs with this. It is useful to have an open SuperDOM when you start to use this tool first time.Parmaters (Default):
- G. DrawTarget (True): Draw current targets (target&stop loss) to the chart.
- T 10 - T 43.: Self explanatory (See standard ATM)
Buttons (Two sets, during flat and trade)
Flat:
- LONG: Enter a long limit order to bid level (you can adjust that after with + - buttons, or press again to newest bid level if not filled)
- SHORT: Enter a short limit order to ask level (you can adjust that after with + - buttons)
- X: Cancel waiting limit order
- +: Adjust waiting limit order upper
- -: Adjust waiting limit order lower
- Reset: Clear the previous trade PNL from the chart and so on.
- -1/0/5 Toggle, Limit order delta from bid/ask level
Trade:
- +: Adjust stop loss 1 tick upper
- -: Adjust stop loss 1 tick lower
- BreakEven: If negative PNL, set target to break even, if positive, set stop loss to break even point (to average fill). After that it is easy to adjust that with + - buttons.
- +: Adjust target order upper
- -: Adjust target order lower
- Close: Close the trade.
- E/D Toggle, if E trailing stop is Enabled, D = Disabled, as you might want to run only targets sometimes..
Other: This use chart direction to +/- even for short trades, if you prefer other "more logically" for shorts, that can be done...
Position Flat or pending limit order:
During trade, working order:
Smoothed trailing stop:
Explained: Trailing stop not raised over the bid/ask level after a big move (high spread situation) which allow market adjustment (green balls represent trailing stop moves). Here with the picture, standard trailing stop would have been triggered at red cross level and get be filled about first green ball level. Smoothed trailing stop will handle the situation and better results expected.

FYI, Wait until next week as much better TMIntATM available (clean horizontal interactive handles and keep track of your target/stop loss levels, good for checkin trade later and for educational purposes). Available now! See the naming.
Purchase (PriceGroup3)
Example of live trading, you can see that trailing stop coming after, in first trade trailing stop was a little bit too tight...
Risk Disclosure: Futures
and forex trading contains substantial risk and is not for every
investor. An investor could potentially lose all or more than the
initial investment. Risk capital is money that can be lost without
jeopardizing ones’ financial security or life style. Only risk capital
should be used for trading and only those with sufficient risk capital
should consider trading. Past performance is not necessarily indicative
of future results.
Hypothetical Performance Disclosure: Hypothetical
performance results have many inherent limitations, some of which are
described below. no representation is being made that any account will
or is likely to achieve profits or losses similar to those shown; in
fact, there are frequently sharp differences between hypothetical
performance results and the actual results subsequently achieved by any
particular trading program. One of the limitations of hypothetical
performance results is that they are generally prepared with the benefit
of hindsight. In addition, hypothetical trading does not involve
financial risk, and no hypothetical trading record can completely
account for the impact of financial risk of actual trading. for example,
the ability to withstand losses or to adhere to a particular trading
program in spite of trading losses are material points which can also
adversely affect actual trading results. There are numerous other
factors related to the markets in general or to the implementation of
any specific trading program which cannot be fully accounted for in the
preparation of hypothetical performance results and all which can
adversely affect trading results.
